Third Larkspur Community Design Consultation
On November 25th, 2014 Rohit Communities, the City of Edmonton, and the residents of the Larkspur community met for the third time to finalize the design of the new Larkspur Landing project including confirmation for colours, lighting, and landscaping. Specific items of the meeting included:
- Confirmation of the site plan, including number of units the possibility of minor design changes such as number of parking stalls during the application process
- Explanation of the 3D models of the proposed site, including how the boulevard tree will cover the building in the background as well as how landscaping outside of the property will will improve the visual barrier
- Explanation of the landscaping plan
- Confirmation of the colour scheme for the project to be similar to the palette used in Tawa Landing and Casselman Landing
- Lighting options for both street lights and exterior lights
- Confirmation of the use of address plaque to be similar to Tawa and Casselman Landing
- Labeling of all visitor parking stalls
Councillor Amarjeet Sohi was also present during the final consultation meeting. While Rohit Communities will be taking all feedback into consideration of the design of Larkspur Landing, it was reiterated to the Larkspur residents that changes may be required as per the City during the Development Permit application.
